Sharratt, Barbara Nora (Engagement - 1980)

A June 28, Las Vegas wedding is planned for Barbara Nora Sharratt and John (Lucky) Joseph Antonuccio, Jr. Father of the bride is Roland Sharratt, Rt. 1 Chili, and the groom’s mother is Mrs. Anna Antonuccio, Santa Clara, California. The bride-to-be is a 1970 graduate of Marshfield Senior High and received a bachelor’s degree from UW-Stout in 1976. She is employed as corporate secretary-treasurer for Great Western Development and Investment Corporation in Las Vegas. Her fiance attended San Jose State College in California and is chairman of the board for Great Western.

Sharratt, Barbara Nora (28 June 1980)

Barbara Nora Sharratt, Las Vegas. Nev. was given in marriage by her father, Roland A. Sharratt, Rt. 1 Chili, to John Joseph (Lucky) Antonuccio, Jr., Las Vegas, son of Mrs. Anna Antonuccio, Santa Clara, California, and the late John Antonuccio, Sr., during a 2:30 p.m. ceremony Saturday, June 28, in Las Vegas.

The Rev. Eugene Meretzwinski officiated at the rites which took place at St. Viator Catholic Church. Vicky Anthony, vocalist, was accompanied by her husband, Tony, on the organ. The first reading was given by State Senator Eugene Echols.

For her day, the bride chose a candlelight bouffant Scarlet O’Hara gown of chiffon and organza, and a hat of organza and flowing French veiling. She carried a bouquet of red and candlelight roses.

Chris Hornish (?), New Stuyahok, Al. was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were LuAnn Erkfitz, Elkhorn, Debbie Lee, Woodville and Lori Antonuccio and Linda Kerrigan, both of Las Vegas. Their empire gowns were in pastel voile in rainbow shades, with matching hats. Each carried a nosegay of carnations to match. Acting mother of the day was Anna Marie Derfus, Marshfield.

Eugene Sharratt, Las Vegas, was bestman and was assisted by Tom Guthrie, Las Vegas, James O’Brien, Novato, Cal.; Steve Vogler, Las Vegs; and Tony Antonuccio, Sacramento, Cal.; Tom Sullivan, Evergreen Park, Illinois; David Iremen. Long Beach, Cal.; and Walt Reno, Al Finelli and John Antonuccio III, all of Las Vegas, seated the guests.

The wedding reception after the ceremony was held at the Dunes Hotel and Country Club where dinner and dancing took place in the evening.

The new Mrs. Antonuccio, Jr., is a 1970 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 1976 from UW-Stout. She is corporate secretary-treasurer for Great Western Development and Investment Corporation. The bridegroom attended San Jose State College in California. He is chairman of the board of directors of Great Western Development and Investment Corporation. After an extended honeymoon the newlyweds will make their home in Las Vegas.
