Schoenherr, Gene A. “Geno” (8 January 1946 – 21 November 2021) With Flag

Gene A. "Geno" Schoenherr, 75, Marshfield, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center in Owen.

Gene was born on January 8, 1946, in Neillsville to Ruth Schoenherr. He received his education in the Globe, Neillsville and Granton Schools. After graduation he was inducted into the United States Army and served as a combat Engineer from 1965 to 1967. After his honorable discharge he became a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans.

Gene worked for various trucking companies as a semi driver until he found his home with DeBoer Trucking, Inc. where he worked for 13 years until health problems forced him to retire. He had a love for Harley's. Over the years he had three motorcycles and when it came to riding, he never let his health interfere.

In 1977 he married Christine Balicki who survives him along with a son, Mark (Teresa) Balicki, Iron Mountain, MI, a daughter, Lisa Sterbuck of Heartland, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Gene was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be sadly missed.

Private family visitation and services will be held at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. Burial will be in McMillan Memorial Gardens Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 54 of Marshfield.

The family would like to thank Clark County Living Center staff and the hospice staff for their excellent care.

Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com.
