Rust, Florence Faye (1 September 1908 – 14 March 1980)

Mrs. Herman Rust, 72, Greenwood, died Friday morning, March 14, at her home. The former, Florence Faye Collins, was born to Richard and Florence Collins, September 1908, in Vermillion, S.D. She received her education in S.D. She was married November 24, 1928, to Herman Rust at Alcester, S.D. They observed their golden wedding in 1978.

They moved to Wisconsin in 1927 and farmed in the Town of Sherman until 1942, when they moved to the present farm in Greenwood. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Surviving her are her husband; three sons, Richard, Marshfield, James Greenwood, and Herman, Jr. Chippewa Falls; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Bogdonovich, Willard, Mrs. Herbert (Darlene) Dodge, Shreveport, Louisiana, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Faber, Greenwood, and Mrs. Dale ( Elaine) Rizzolo, St. Charles, Mo.; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving, are two sisters, Mrs. James (Beverly) Irish, Peekskill, N.Y. and Mrs. Greg (Elaine) Sanpos, Seattle, Wa., and four brothers, Glenn, Sunnyvale, Calif. Gene, Pacific Grove, Calif., Richard, Sioux Falls, S.D. and Larry, Lamoco, Calif.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday from Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Douglas Groenewold, officiated, with burial in the Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rodney, Randy, and Jim Bogdonovich, Dave Rizzolo, Jr., Jeff and Brad Dodge, all grandsons. The Rinka Funeral of Greenwood was in charge of arrangements.
