Worchel, Eugene A. (2 April 1908 – 5 March 1980)

Neillsville native Eugene A. Worchel, 71, of Green Lake passed away at his home on the morning of March 5. The deceased was born on April 2, 1908, in Neillsville to August and Alvina Worchel. After his education in the Neillsville area schools, he worked as a machinist for Mercury Marine for 20 years. During this time he married Viola Krause in October 21, 1933, Berlin ceremonies. In 1950, the couple moved to Green Lake.

Surviving him are two daughters, Dolores of Green Lake and Mrs. Harland (Donna) Schubert of Neenah; two sons, Alvin of Omro and Gordon of Green Lake; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by hi wife, one brother and sisters.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, March 8, from Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake with the Rev. D.E. Hallemeyer officiating. Burial was made in the Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake, with the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
