Straube, Bonnie R. (25 August 1935 – 23 January 2018)

Bonnie R. Straube (nee Smith) passed into Eternal Life on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at age 82. Cherished wife of the late Charles Straube. Dear mother of Mark (the late Charlette) and the late Michael Straube. Grandmother of Jacqueline (Cassidy) McGarry. Great-grandmother of Aaron and Griffin McGarry. Sister of Arlo Smith, Gladys Bowen, Nancy Breitung, Duane Smith, and Etta Czarnik. Also loved by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Gathering at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, on Friday, February 9, 2018, from 4:00 P.M.– 6:45 P.M. Celebration of Bonnie’s life at 7:00 P.M. Private burial at Central Wisconsin Military Veterans Cemetery.

A special thank you to the staff at Ivy Manor for their exceptional care over the years.

Bonnie was born in Neillsville to Bergen and Alice Smith and raised her family in Milwaukee. She loved reading mystery novels and watching Perry Mason. She enjoyed long walks and country drives with Charles.
