Wallace, Theodore (14 January 1909 – 28 January 1980)

Theodore O. Wallace, 71, passed away Monday evening, January 28, in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, after a lingering illness. Mr. Wallace of Neillsville was to be buried in the Neillsville City Cemetery following the 1:30 p.m. Friday funeral services from the Gesche Funeral Home. Visitation was scheduled for Thursday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday morning until the time of services. Officiating will be the Rev. William Noble of the Neillsville United Methodist Church, of which Mr. Wallace was a member.

Wallace was born on January 14, 1909, in Neillsville to Henry and Irene (Hohenstein) Wallace. After his education, which included Neillsville High School, he moved to Milwaukee and worked for the Pressed Steel Tank Company for 30 years. He retired in 1971, due to failing health, and moved back to Neillsville.

Surviving him is his wife, nee Elva Savage, one sister, Mrs. Wilbert (Ann) Wischulke, Granton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Lou, one brother, Kenneth and one sister, Doris.
