Vreeland, Sue (26 January 1980)

Sue Vreeland and Alton Duerkop were united in marriage on Saturday afternoon January 26, at the Birchwood United Methodist Church. The Rev. Franson of the Fristad Lutheran Church of Centuria officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Vreeland of Birchwood and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duerkop of Humbird.

At the service, the Rev. and Mrs. Franson and Rick Larson provided music. A Rice Lake reception followed the wedding.

The new couple are on the faculty of the Balsom Lake Schools. The groom is a graduate of Lincoln High School in Alma Center, graduated from UW-Eau Claire and has also taught music in the Unity Schools.

Attending the wedding from the Humbird area were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duerkop, Emma Gerber and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Lang. They were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Jim Duerkop and daughters from Wausau.
