Jackson, Pvt. David W. (Service Notes - 1979)

National Guard Pvt. David W. Jackson, son of Mrs. Jean Maneage, Stuart, Florida, recently completed a tracked-vehicle mechanic course at the U.S. Army Armor School, Fort Knox, Kentucky.

During the course, students were trained to repair engines, transmissions, and the fuel, electrical and hydraulic systems of the Army’s tracked vehicles. They also learned to perform recovery operations for abandoned, damaged, disable or mired vehicles.

Jackson’s father, Wayne Jackson, lives on Pineview Terrace, Greenwood.
