Making their home in Spencer are the new Mr. and Mrs. John Kolano, who were united in marriage October 20 in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville, by the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Carole Garner, Arpin, while the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Kolano, Rt. 5 Neillsville.

Serving as matron of honor was Mrs. Delbert Reid. She was joined by Karen (blotch) of Marshfield and Mrs. Greg Garner and Mrs. Bernard Kolano, of Neillsville. Serving as flower girls were Brandy and Stacey Garner.

The bride, given away by her parents, chose an empire-style gown of sheer organza trimmed with Venician lace and f featured crystal pleating, chapel train and veil. She carried a cascade of tangerine roses, white carnations and baby’s breath. The maid of honor wore a malt-colored dress, and the other bridesmaids were in rust gowns. They carried wicker baskets of orange daisies and carnations.

Serving as bestman was Stan Zimmerman, Houston, who was joined by Delbert Reid of Marshfield and Bernard Kolano and Tim Kurasz of Neillsville. Ushering were Jody Kolano of Neillsville, Tom Kurasz of Milwaukee and Perry Messerschmidt, Lindsey.

Music at the service was performed by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tess.

A dinner was served at the Wildcat Inn, followed by a reception and dance at the Bali Hai.

A 1974 graduate of the Wisconsin Academy, Columbus, the new Mrs. Kolano also studied at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich., and is now a psychiatric technician at Marshfield’s Norwood Center. The groom is a 1974 graduate of Neillsville High School, attending the Marshfield UW-Center and is employed by Louie’s Refrigeration of Marshfield.
