Ives, Debbie J. (15 September 1979)

Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville was the Saturday afternoon, September 15, site for the wedding of Debie J. Ives and Tom D. Drescher. Parents of the couple are Calvin and Lorraine Ives, and Josephine Drescher, all of Neillsville. With the Rev. Paul Forde officiating, the bride was presented to the altar by her father. Frank Pakiz offered music for the service.

The bride’s gown was of lace, featuring sequins and pearls, scalloped neckline and hemline, a ruffled bustle and ruffles to the wrist and hemline. She wore a Juliet headpiece and carried a bouquet of red roses, white carnations, baby’s breath, fall flowers and white streaming ribbon.

Linda Mashin was maid of honor. She was joined by Linda Thorson, Bonnie Ives, Cheri Ives, Janet Pyka, Virginia Drescher, Cindy Whitman and Pam Steinbring. They were attired in mint green gowns, completed by capes and white hats, and each, caried red roses, white carnations and dark green streaming ribbons.

Rick Zickert, La Crosse, was the bestman. He was joined by Byron Thorson, Calvin Hagen, Donnie Fleischmann, Jim Zschernitz, Marvin Mashin, David Whitman and Ron Morneau. Ushering were Jeff Fitzmaurice and Otis Weirick. Scotty Steinbring and Michelle Pyka were ringbearer and flower girl.

Following the wedding, a reception was held at the American Legion Hall in Neillsville. The couple left on a wedding trip to the Lake Superior area. Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by Lorraine Ives, Susan Pyka, Bernice Fitzmaurice and another hosted by the bride’s co-workers.

The bride, a 1976 graduate of Neillsville High School, is employed at Nelson Filter. The groom, a 1968 graduate of the same school, is employed by Wisconsin Homes, Marshfield.
