Danielson, Naomi (26 July 1903 – 27 August 1979)

Mrs. David Danielson, 76, of Greenwood, passed away on Monday afternoon, August 27, in the Neillsville Memorial Home.

The former Naomi Emberson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Emberson, was born on July 26, 1903, in Blanchardville. In 1920, she came to Clark County with her parents to a farm near Greenwood. She graduated from Greenwood High School the following year. She taught school for twelve years, then nine more in Neillsville and five more in Eau Claire.

On June 19, 1948, she married David Danielson in Greenwood ceremonies. The couple resided on a farm in the Town of Beaver until 1966 when they moved to Greenwood. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and that congregation’s ALCW. She entered the Neillsville Memorial Home in early August 1977.

Surviving is her husband, one brother, Vilas Emberson, Harrison, Az., and one sister, Mrs. Erling (Eulilla) Nelson, Spooner. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon, August 30, from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Mrs. Duane Olson sang “The Lord’s My Shepherd” and “How Great Thou Art,” accompanied by Mrs. Don Warner. The Rev. Sam Kochel officiated, with burial in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ernest Elmer, Art Hendrickson, Harold Hendrickson, Erick Axelson, Clarence Verhulst and Godfrey Dyre. The Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
