Fennessy, Maureen (28 July 1979)

With the Rev. Joseph Henseler officiating, Maureen Fennessy and Timothy Harder were united in marriage in St. Mary’s Catholic Church rites, July 28. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Fennessy, Rt. 1 Neillsville, while the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Harder, Rt. 1 Greenwood.

With the father of the bride presenting her to the altar, the bride chose a gown of evening length, featuring a high-fitted bodice, wide scoop neckline, Venician lace ruffles, organza sleeves and overskirt and satin underskirt. The gown also had a chapel length train and a finer tip length veil with matching lace. She carried a bouquet of orange roses, carnations and baby’s breath.

Maid of honor was Cathy Fennessy, Madison, who was joined by Cindee Harder. They carried bouquets of orange carnations, daisies and baby’s breath.

Ron Scharf was best man. He was joined by Dale Zank. Ushering were Robin Harder and Jim Fennessy. Michael Fennessy was ring bearer.

Following the service, a dinner was held in the church basement and at the Hans Harder home.

After a short honeymoon to eastern Wisconsin, the couple made their home in Marshfield. The groom is a graduate of District I Technical Institute in Eau Claire in diesel mechanics and is presently a night shop foreman for Schjoneman’s Truck and Trailer, Inc., Colby.

Prenuptial events included a shower hosted by Cathy Fennessy and Cindee Harder and another by Joan and Cindee Harder.
