Brechler, Sarah (26 May 1973)

Miss Sarah Brechler, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert P. Brechler of Fennimore, Wisconsin, became the bride of Dennis Lendosky, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Lendosky of Thorp, Wisconsin, on Saturday, May 26, 1973.

The ceremony was performed at 1:30 o’clock p.m. in the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fennimore, with the Reverend R. E. McClelland and the Reverend John L. Urban officiating.

The bride approached the altar which was decorated with candelabra, accented with rainbow-hued flowers, on the arm of her father. For her wedding she chose a gown of Satapeau Ala Mode in Victorian styling. The round yoke of Brussels lace was trimmed with pearls and the sleeves were fitted with ruffle cuffs, appliqued and pearl trimmed, the demi-bell skirt flowed to a deep lace ruffle on the bottom, extending into full cathedral train. Her veil was of elbow length silk illusion on a Camelot style crown with lace trim. She carried a bouquet of roses, baby’s breath and ivy.

Mrs. Lendosky was attended by her sisters, Mrs. Dennis (Trudie) Freymiller, as matron of honor, and Mrs. David (Marcia) Welgie, Miss Mary Fetters and Mrs. James (Kathy) Griswold, friends of the bride, were bridesmaids. Miss Sherri Lendosky, sister of the groom, was junior bridesmaid. Bridesmaids’ gowns were of rainbow-hued floral and flock dotted Swiss over pastel taffeta of pink, blue, orchid, green and yellow, respectively. The rounded see-through white yoke was accented with Piquot Venice lace vertically trimmed. The gowns were high collard and lace ruffling edged the yoke. The Bishop sleeves were ruffled, as were the bottom of the A-line gowns. Narrow Grosgrain ribbon trimmed the collar, cuffs and empire waistline. Matching ribbon trimmed the Italian crocheted straw picture hats. Each bridesmaid carried glamellias in respective colors coordinating with their dress.

Serving as best man was Jim Pajak, friend of the groom. David Lendosky, brother of the groom, Bruce Pett and David Graese, friends of the groom, were groomsmen. Junior groomsman was Eric Thurston. Dennis Freymiller and David Weigel, brothers-in-law of the bride, and Elvin Spellman, friend of the groom, ushered.

The mother of the bride attended the wedding in a pink polyester crepe floor length gown with whit accessories. Mrs. Lendosky chose a blue polyester crepe floor length gown. Both mothers wore white corsages accented with rainbow colors.

Ceremony organist was Mrs. Roger Lehman. Music was provided by the St. Peter Senior Choir under the direction of John Beutel, singing “One in the Spirit” and “I See God.” Vocalist Steve Bauer, accompanied by Miss Francine Eisele on guitar, sang the “Wedding Song” and “Wedding Prayer.”

A reception and dance followed at Fennimore Hills. Assisting at the reception were Mrs. Craig Schollian, Mrs. Thomas Friar, Mrs. LaVon Alderson, Mrs. Greg Huza, Mrs. Eric Walters and Miss Merry Brechler.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Lendosky, the groom’s parents, hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday, May 25th at the Cottonwood Supper Club.

The bride is a nurse at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, where her husband is a senior at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.

The newlyweds will be at home at 792 Hudson Street, Eau Claire.
