Greenwood HS Readies for Graduation (1979)

The traditional baccalaureate service was held at the Greenwood Community High School auditorium, Sunday, and next week will be the commencement exercise at the same place. The commencement is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., May 20.

The senior band will play the processional and recessional and also the main theme from “Exodus.” The Rev. Douglas Groenewold is giving the invocation and benediction.

Principal Charles Seefeldt is presenting the special awards. The class is being presented by Superintendent Michael Peterson with Victor Wagner, president of the board of education presenting the diplomas.

Luann Horn, valedictorian, chose “Today is the Tomorrow We Dreamed of Yesterday,” for the theme of her speech. Sharing the thoughts “We May Never Fall This Way Again,” are the co-salutatorians, Michelle Wagner and Karen Kaltinger.

Honor students in addition to the Valedictorian and co-salutatorians are Karen Baltus, Bernard Bolf, Gaylene Branstiter, Russell Denk, Rhonda Elmer, Lynn Ewoldt, Wanda Frame, Marilyn Fravert, Luann Horn, Larry Jollivette, Karen Kaltinger, Renee Kohlnhofer, Laura Lesar, Ann Lindner, Mary Neuenfeldt, Naomi Sisson, Patrick Skora and Michelle Wagner.
