Rhoades, Shari Lynn (5 May 1979)

In 4:00 p.m. ceremonies at Neillsville’s United Church of Christ, last Saturday, Shari Lynn Rhoades wed Randall P. Hamm, with the Rev. Gary Clark officiating.

The bride and groom, both enlisted members of the U.S. Air Force stationed at Grissom AFB, Indiana, are the son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Rhoades, Rt. 1 Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hamm of Washington, Ind.

Wearing a white chiffon over polyester crepe-skirt gown, the bride was presented to the altar by her father. Her gown also featured a square neckline, long sleeves that were lace trimmed with embroidered blue and white flowers and a fingertip veil fastened to a Juliet headpiece. She carried a cascade of white roses, daisies and carnations.

Maid of honor was Mary Lynn Scharf of Neillsville, who was joined by the bride’s sister, Shelly Rhoades of Baumholder, Germany, and Sandi Bardo of Granton. They were attired in floor-length polyester gauze gowns marked in a blue flowered print and featuring square necks, high waists and white hats. They carried baskets of painted daisies, carnations and star flowers.

Bestman was Brian Tetreault, who was joined by Tim Dant and Dennis Hamm. Ushering were Kelly Hamm and Tom Cummins. All were from Washington, Ind.

Music was provided by Eileen Zank as organist, Lee and Lori Hamm with guitar and flute and Jill Horswill as vocalist.

Prenuptial events included a shower at the U.S.A.F. Clinic at Grissom AFB while postnuptial events included a reception at the Bali Hai Supper Club in Neillsville. The couple planned a wedding trip to Florida, returning to Grissom AFB after May 22.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and is a member of the U.S. Air Force medial corp. The groom is a 1973 graduate of Washington High School, attended Indiana University–Bloomington for two years and is also a member of the U.S. Air Force medical corp.
