Jill Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hanford Anderson, and Gary Benzschawel,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Benzschawel, have been chose as Thorp High School’s
Badger Girl and Badger Boy for 1973.
The students were selected by the high school faculty on the basis of
outstanding qualities of leadership, character, and service, for a week of
non-political study and practice in the organization and operation of state and
local governments in Wisconsin. The Badger Girl’s State delegate is sponsored by
the Thorp unit of the American Legion Auxiliary, and sponsoring the delegate for
Badger Boy’s State is the Cecil Tormey Post of the American Legion.
Alternate delegates to Badger Girl and Boy’s State are Dixie Postier, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Postier, and Loren Hass, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hass
