Johnson, Milton K. (12 Aug 1887 – 21 Feb 1973)

Milton K. Johnson, age 85, resident of Route 3, Stanley, Town of Thorp (Clark Co.), passed away Wednesday evening at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley.

He was born August 12, 1887 at Ostrander, Minnesota, the son of Knute and Elsa Johnson. He came to the Stanley area in 1912 and on August 12, 1914 was united in marriage to Helen Hatlestad in Stanley. After their marriage they farm and lived in the Town of Thorp since. He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Stanley.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Nordahl of Stanley and Merton of Route 1, Gilman; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Caroline Roe of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, three sisters and one grandson.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Stanley, with the Reverends Carl W. Peters and Norman L. Sifferath officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Stanley.
