Telford, Sharon Marie (31 Mar 1973)

St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Abbotsford, was the setting for the wedding of Miss Sharon Marie Telford and Thomas Leo Jochimsen, who said their marriage vows at 1 p.m. March 31, 1973.

The Rev. Emil B. Hodnik officiated at the ceremony which united the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred W. Telford, Abbotsford, and the son of Mrs. Albert Jochimsen, Route 1, Medford. The bride was escorted to the altar by her parents. Mrs. Dan Decker was the organist and the high school singers sang.

For her wedding day, Miss Telford wore a white nylon organza over taffeta gown, with chapel-sweep train. A lace profile headpiece held her veil and red roses and pink carnations made up her cascade bouquet.

Maid of honor, Mrs. Sandra Beisner, Spencer, wore a yellow chiffon over matching taffeta gown, and the bridesmaids, Miss Sheila Koplitz, Green Bay, Miss Nancy Brunker, Colby, and Mrs. Marge Marcott, Wausau, wore the same style dress in aqua. Each carried an arrangement of red roses, aqua and pink carnations and yellow pompons.

Tammy Beisner of Spencer was flower girl in the wedding party, and Michael Telford of Mosinee was ring bearer.

In the groom’s party, Bruce Jochimsen, Woodstock Illinois, served as best man, while Rod Baumgartner, Owen; Arlyn Telford, Abbotsford, and David Marcott of Wausau were groomsmen. Alan Telford, Abbotsford and Gary Jochimsen, Dorchester, did the ushering duties.
