Ziegler, Debra Dawn (30 September 1978)

The Immanuel Lutheran Church of Globe served as the September 30 site for the exchange of vows between Debra Dawn Ziegler and Bruce Lee Eskildsen. The bride, who was taken to the altar by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ziegler, Rt. 1 Willard. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Eskildsen, Rt. 1 Loyal.

Officiating at the 1:30 p.m. services was the Rev. Ralph Stuebs, pastor of Immanuel Church. Music for the event was provided by Bunny Dux as a soloist, accompanied by Karen Hoppa on the organ.

The bride chose a floor-length gown of sheer organza, trimmed with Vancian lace, complete with a high neckline, ruffled cape sleeves and flounce-edged skirt and a chapel train. Her matching veil was edged in Vancian lace and was of finger-tip length. She carried white roses with yellow pom-poms.

Serving as maid of honor was Brenda Lindow, Neillsville, who was joined in the party by Mrs. Merle Eskildsen of Loyal and Lorie Schmidt and Debbie Ives of Neillsville. They wore yellow printed gowns with low necklines and three-tiered skirts and carried bouquets of daisies and bronze and yellow pom-poms.

Best man was Raymond Bowe, Loyal, who was joined by Merle Eskildsen of Loyal, pat Herrick of Willard and Gary Petkovsek of Stevens Point. Ushering were Kim Ziegler and Arlen Eskildsen.

After the ceremonies, a reception was held at the Wildcat Inn, followed by a dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

The bride graduated from Neillsville High School in 1976 and works part time for Ziegler Montgomery Wards Sales Agency, Neillsville. The groom is a 1975 graduate of Neillsville High School is employed as a carpenter.
