Havlicek, Mr. and Mrs. Charles, Sr. (Golden – 16 September 1978)

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Havlicek and family entertained a few close friends, Sunday p.m., September 17, in honor of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Havlicek, Sr., at his parent’s home in honor of their 50th Wedding Anniversary. The anniversary date was Saturday, September 16th.

Those in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Grim, Fall Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Adamec; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Horesovsky; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short. Their grandson, John McNeil, Streamwood, Ill., who is employed here and staying with his grandparents, also was in attendance.

They served a supper and refreshments with an Anniversary cake and ice cream. The guests of honor were presented with gifts, money and cards.

The children had planned to have open house at the town hall for all their friends, relatives and neighbors, but do to the illness and recent surgery of their mother, they postponed it and plan to have that at a later date.

The honored couple have four children, Charles. Jr. of New Mexico; Donald, Levis; Mrs. William (Delores) Prazak, Streamwood, Ill.; and Mrs. Mickey (Shirley) Condron, Schaumburg, Ill.

Josephine Bielava and Charles Havlicek were married in Chicago, September 16, 1928. They moved to the Town of Levis in 1930 where they farmed until they sold their farm and moved to their present home in 1959.
