Boss, Walter A. (7 Jul 1886 – 21 Aug 1972)

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Polnaszek Funeral Home for Walter A. Boss, 86, Route 1, Abbotsford, who died Monday at 6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

The Rev. Kenneth Loehrke, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, will officiate, with burial to be in the Holton Cemetery in Marathon County.

Mr. Boss was born July 7, 1886 in Milwaukee, and married Edna Glenzer at Dorchester September 28, 1912. She died in 1970.

Most of his life he farmed in the Town of Holton.

Survivors include four sons, Earl and Robert of Colby, Ernest, Abbotsford, and Vernon, Curtiss; three daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Lenore) Meyers, Curtiss, Mrs. Violet Olsen and Mrs. Alvin (Ruth) Justice, San Jose, California

A brother, Herbert, of Hope Idaho, and 28 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by two sons.
