Kachan, Peter (29 June 1887 – 25 August 1978)
An immigrant from Ukraine to the United States and Clark County, Peter Kachan,
91, passed away at the Neillsville Memorial Home, Friday, August 25.
Kachan was born in the Ukraine and came to the United States in 1951. He farmed
in the Town of Sherwood until 1976 when he moved to the Neillsville Memorial
Home due to failing health.
Kachan was born on June 29, 1887. Little is known of his parents or if he was
ever married and had a family. He left no known relatives.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, August 29, from the Georgas-Gesche
Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Joseph Henseler of St. Mary’s Catholic
Church, Neillsville. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
