Storm, Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Golden – 19 June 1978)

Recently celebrating their fiftieth wedding anniversary were Carl John and Darlene Marjorie Storm, Granton.

The Storm’s, who have lived all of their married life in Granton, own and operate Storm’s Bar and Restaurant as they have for the past 51 years. The tavern has been under the family name for nearly 80 years and still keeps the couple busy. The couple were feted at the Bali-Hai Supper Club, May 20, after a special service was held at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Horst Augustin officiating.

Darlene Greeler and Carl Storm were married at Zion Lutheran Church on June 19. 1927 by the Rev. Theodore Martins. Attending the anniversary was Mrs. George Greeler, a sister-in-law and an original bridesmaid.

Darlene was born in the Town of York, April 1, 1907, to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Greeler. She attended the Oriole Hill School in the Town of York. A housewife, she has been a member of the Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid for 20 years, enjoys garden, flowers, crocheting and canning pickles and is in good health.

Carl was born November 17, 1904, in Granton to Mr. and Mrs. William Storm. He attended Granton Elementary School and High School and has been a member of Zion Lutheran Church for 51 years. In good health and employed by Rollohome in Marshfield, he is a fan of basketball, baseball and football.

The couple have two children, Mrs. Jerome (Delores) Gaier of Marshfield, and Wendell of Sheboygan, and two granddaughters.

At the celebration, Darlene wore a corsage of gold rose with yellow carnations while Carl wore a gold boutonniere, presented by the grandchildren. Tables we decorated in either centerpieces of gold and white mums and purple and white flowers a round gold candles, given by the children, or bouquets of tulips.
