Marshfield Clinic Board Has New Member (Petkovsek – 2021)
Neillsville’s Petkovsek Joins Marshfield Clinic Board
Barb Petkovsek, Neillsville, has been named as the newest member of the Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation Board of Directors.
“Commitment to her community has always driven Petkovsek to give back,” stated a June 17 press release issued by Jeff Starck and Cany Marg of the Marshfield Health Clinic System. “By becoming the newest member of the foundation’s board of directors, she is continuing the tradition.”
Petkovsek previously served on the memorial medical Center Board of Directors and now serves on the Memorial Foundation Board. She and husband, Bob, are co-chairs of the Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville capital campaign, which raised more than $1.8 million to support the new wellness center and hospital infusion suite. She played a significant role in recruiting the 125 women who joined the campaign’s “100 Extraordinary Women” program, which provided an opportunity for individuals to make gifts of $1,000 or more in honor or memory of an extraordinary woman in their lives.
Petkovsek is retired after having worked at Middleton-based Carlson Dettmann Consulting where she worked as a senior consultant. She was responsible for classification and compensation plans for several counties in Wisconsin and Illinois. Petkovsek earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies from the UW-Green Bay. In addition to her volunteerism, she served as Clark County Clerk for 11 years.
As a member of the Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation Board, Petkovsek will join other board members in providing insight on foundation initiatives, acting as philanthropic leaders for Marshfield Clinic Health System and engaging with foundation staff in fundraising efforts.
“Barb’s compassion for others, drives her to make a difference every day,” said Teri Wilczek, chief philanthropy officer of the Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation. “Her leadership was instrumental to the success of the Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville capital campaign. We are excited to have the Neillsville community represented on our foundation board and Barb is a natural fit.”
