Salzwedel, Ruth (6 April 1923 - 28 February 1978)

Ruth Salzwedel, 54, Rt. 1, Granton, was found dead of an apparent heart attack, February 28, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Oestreich, Granton.

The former Ruth Strobel was born April 6, 1923, in Marshfield, to Jerry and Dora Strobel. She lived in Marshfield most of her life. She was married to Ray Salzwedel on November 28, 1942.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ted (Betty) Oestreich and Mrs. Robert (Donna) Foss, both of Granton; and Judy Salzwedel of Chicago; one son, Allen, Marshfield; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Arthur Boushon of Marshfield; one half-brother, Milton Strobel of Arpin; her mother, Mrs. Dora Strobel of Marshfield; and her father, Jerry Stobel of Arpin.

Funeral services were held March 2, at the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton, with the Rev. William Noble officiating, and burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery.
