Miller, Maybelle (16 January 1906 – 22 December 1978)

Maybelle Miller, 69, of Black River Falls and formerly of Merrillan and Hatfield, died Friday, December 22, in the Black River Memorial Hospital. She was born in Wisconsin on January 16, 1906. She worked as an acrobat with circuses and later farmed near Hatfield. For a number of years, she operated a grocery store in Merrillan and then returned to the Hatfield vicinity until retiring and moving to Black River Falls about ten years ago.

Survivors include one brother, Earl, address unknown, and one niece, Mrs. John (Grace) Southwood, Alma Center.

Services were held from the Jensen Funeral Chapel in Hixton. The Rev. Calvin W. Carey officiated, and burial was in the Hatfield Cemetery.
