Bernard "Bernie" and Marie Dahlke celebrated their golden wedding anniversary June 9, 2002 with an open house at Country Aire Ballroom, Stratford.

They were married June 11, 1952, Original attendants present for the festivities were Beverly Piessig of Wausau, Pat Dahlke of Edgar, Marjorie Manecke of Edgar, Dorothy Betzner of Edgar and Albert Podevels Jr. Colby. Another attendant, Raymond Dahlke, is deceased.

The couple retired from farming in 1978. They kept 80 acres where they built their home where they continue to reside.

Bernie worked for Marathon Electric and Ben Gottschalk Inc. He currently works for Smith Brothers Meats of Colby. Marie worked 15 years for Figi's and five years at Fiskars. She retired in 1997.

Their family includes two sons, DuWayne (Sherry) Dahlke Sr., of Curtiss and Delmar (Cindy) Dahlke of Colby; a daughter, Sharon (Randy) Reyzer of Louisiana; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
