Mr. and Mrs. Robert Graff of Stetsonville announce the engagement of their daughter, Joanne Marie of Marshfield, to Emanuel (Butch) Firnstahl of Colby. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Firnstahl, also of Colby.

Both are 1971 graduates of Colby High School.

Miss Graff is a secretary in the Psychiatric Department of the Marshfield Clinic. Her fiancé is employed by the Gene Wild Interior Decorating services of Colby.

No date has been set for the wedding.

Graff, Joanne (12 Oct 1973)

St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester, was the setting for the October 12, 1973 ceremony uniting Emanuel (Butch) Firnstahl and Joanne Graff in marriage. The Rev. Jacob Burggraf officiated at the 7 p.m. ceremony. Miss Vicky Nixdorf sang, accompanied by Miss Linda Lueddecke at the organ.

Parents of the newlyweds are Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel F. Firnstahl of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Robert P. Graff of Dorchester.

Mrs. Robert Light of Stetsonville, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Connie Firnstahl, Colby, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Matthew Del Fatti, Colby, friend of the bride.

Wayne Reineking of Beaver Dam served his friend as best man, and Brian Steinmetz of Janesville and Michael McCarron, Colby, servied their friend as groomsmen.

Ushering duties were performed by Edward Graff and Gary Primeau.

The bride appeared in an Edwardian styled gown of Venetian lace and organza, her skirt sweeping into
A chapel train. Her veil was three tiered, of cathedral length and edged with Venetian lace. She carried a bouquet of white daisy poms, yellow roses and baby’s breath.

The matron of honor and flower girl wore yellow floor length gowns of sheer organza with floral print organza aprons, featuring empire styling. The bridesmaids wore light green organza gowns of the same styling. Their flowers were an arrangement of yellow daisy poms and baby’s breath.

A reception, dance and buffet luncheon followed the ceremony. All were held at Schlais Hall, Gad.

The groom graduated from Colby High School in 1971, and is employed by Gene’s Decorating Service, Colby. His bride is also a 1971 graduate of Colby High School, and is employed as a receptionist at the Marshfield Clinic.

Following a honeymoon to northern Wisconsin, the couple will make their home in Colby.
