La Berge, Walter H. (1897? – 10 Dec 1976)

Services for Walter La Berge, 79, of 2848 Third St., Eau Claire, a native of Withee, were at 10:30 a.m. today at the Prock Funeral Home and at 11 a.m., and at St. James Catholic Church, Eau Claire. Mr. La Berge died Friday at his home.

Burial was in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Mr. La Berge was born in Withee, where he entered the clothing business, working at the Krum Clothing Store. The World War I veteran moved to Eau Claire in 1922. He was co-owner of D’Togery Clothing Store, and a co-founder of the H and L Men’s Shop, Inc.

On May 23?, 1925, at Eau Claire, he married the former Agnes Geroux, who survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. David S. Mickelson, Eau Claire; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Johnson, Fall Creek; seven grandchildren and a great-grandson.
