Johnson, Reed (10 Jul 1916 – 17? Nov 1976)
Reed Johnson, age 60, of Ojibwa, Wis., formerly of Chippewa Falls, passed away
at Hayward, Wis., Wednesday at 11 p.m.
He was born July 10, 1916 at Owen, Wis., son of Mrs. Daisy Johnson and the late
Fred Johnson. He was a veteran of World War II, assigned to the Navy, and was
married to Gale of Winter, Wis. In 1974. He worked on construction jobs and
retired at the age of 60 because of illness.
Mr. Johnson was a member of the Lions Club at Winter, Wis.
He is survived by his wife, Gale; one son, Charles, at home; three daughters,
Miss Bonnie Johnson, Mrs. Beth McVinnie, both of San Jose, California, and Mrs.
Rabe (Mary Lou) Beatty of Chippewa Falls; his mother, Mrs. Daisy Johnson of
Chippewa Falls; one brother, John of Eveleth, Minn.; and three sisters, Mrs.
Dayton (Ecco) Clark of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Ed (June) Berdal of Thorp, and Mrs.
Louis (Betty) Jarosch of Scottsdale, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, and one son.
Funeral services are tentatively set for Saturday morning. The time of service
will be published tomorrow.
The Anderson Funeral Home in Hayward is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home.
