Marg, Hertha (21 August 1907 – 22 November 1977)

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 22, in Neillsville for Mrs. Frank (Hertha) Marg, a long time farm wife in the Town of Pine Valley who died November 18, in a Waukesha hospital. Hertha Marg, 70, had been a resident of the Milwaukee area for the past 20 years and lived recently at a Pewaukee nursing home.

Born on August 21,1907 in Monroe County to August and Albertina (Schendel) Kindt. She was married to Frank A. Marg on September 26, 1928 in Clark County.

She is survived by six children who are Mrs. Everett (Angelyn) Dux, Neillsville; Mrs. Kenneth (Marion) Geason, Eden Prairie, Mn.; Gerald Marg, New Berlin; Mrs. Larry (Diane) Carlson, Wessington Springs, S.D.; Mrs. Gary (Ellen) Witt, Marshfield, and Verlon Marg, Milwaukee; and she had three sisters and brothers including Mrs. Wanda VonHaden, Tomah; Mrs. Olga Timmerson, and Mrs. Ervin Foemmel, both of Neillsville; Walter Kindt, Greenwood; Edwin Kindt, Black River Falls; and Allen Kindt, Menomonee Falls; and also survived by 29 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters and one brother.

The Tuesday 1:30 p.m. services were held from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville, with burial in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated. Arrangements were made by the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville.

The “23rd Psalm” and “Asleep In Jesus” were sung by the St. John’s School Choir accompanied by Paul Tess.

Pallbearers included Gary Witt, Chris Geason, Mike Marg, Brian Marg, Mark Schelske and Larry Dux.

Those attending from out of town were Mr./Mrs. Larry Carlson and Mr./Mrs. Mark Schelske of Wessington Springs, S.D.; Mr./Mrs. Ken Geason and Family of Eden Prairie, Mn.; Mrs. Gene Rooney and Jessica, Minneapolis; Mr./Mrs. Gerald Marg and family, New Berlin; Mr./Mrs. Verlon Marg and family, Milwaukee; Leroy Dux and Mrs. Louis Marg, Watertown; and Lawrence Dux, Madison; Mr./Mrs Allen Kindt, Menomonee Falls; Mrs. Wanda VonHaden and Eldred VonHaden, and William and Richard Hubert, Tomah; Mr./Mrs. Walter Kindt, Greenwood; Mr./Mrs. Gary Witt and family, Mrs. Jack Lenz, Mrs. William Markowski, Mrs. Elroy Paasch, Raymond Rhodes and Victor Rhodes, all of Marshfield; Mr./Mrs. Gary Witt, Jr., Spencer; Mr./Mrs. Art McClellan, Osseo; Mr./Mrs. Paul Marg, Eau Claire; Walter Marg, Black River Falls; Mrs. Ron Halverson, Stanley; Mrs. Erwin Dux and Mrs. Verland Dux, Loyal; Mr./Mrs. Roger Helm, Granton.
