Stieber, Christine (9 April 1983)

Miss Christine Stieber of Milwaukee and Michael Mitchell, Waukesha, were married April 9 at St. Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, West Allis, the Rev. Kenneth Knippel officiating.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Stieber of Colby, was given in marriage by her father to the son of Duane Mitchell, Waukesha, and Mrs. Patricia Mitchell, Tallahassee, Florida.

The bride had a cathedral-entrained ivory qiana and lace gown and a lace cap to which was secured a three-quarter length veil. She carried a bouquet of orchids, blue forget-me-nots, stephanotis and baby's breath.

Miss Carol Stieber of La Crosse was maid of honor and Cathy Stieber, Colby, bridesmaid. They had light blue and ivory lace dresses and held bouquets of alstroemena, blue forget-me-nots and baby's breath.

Evan Mierkey of Milwaukee was best man; Steve Smith of Waukesha, groomsman; and Jeff Stieber, Green Bay, and Jim Lynn, Brookfield, ushered.

Zarders Restaurant, New Berlin, was the site of wedding-day events. After a Hawaiian honeymoon, the Mitchells will live in Milwaukee.

The bride, a 1974 Colby High School graduate, graduated in 1976 from Northeastern Wisconsin Technical Institute-Green Bay, and is an assistant claims manager for Midwestern Business Insurance, Milwaukee. Her husband, a 1973 South High School, Waukesha graduate, is an auto technician for Don Jacobs Buick-Waukesha.
