Pahl, Ben (? – 16 August 1977)

Ben Pahl, 62, of Weyauwega, died Tuesday, August 16, at a Weyauwega nursing home where he had been transferred from the Riverside Hospital in Waupaca the day before his death.

Mr. Pahl was well known here, is survived by his wife, one sister, Mrs. Phillip (Evelyn) Seliskar, Greenwood, and one brother, Ethan Pahl, Woodland, Ca. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wesley.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, August 19 at the Schram Funeral Home in Merrill. Burial was made in the Merrill Cemetery.

Services for Benjamin F Pahl, 63, Weyauwega, a Merrill native who died Tuesday in Weyauwega, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Schram Wald Funeral Home, Merrill. Rev. Lueders of the Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Waupaca will officiate.

Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 o'clock tonight.

Mr. Pahl was born in Merrill May 23. 1914. son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Pahl. He was married in Merrill May 23, 1943, to Hildure Wenander, who survives. He was employed in Minnesota and Illinois as a painter and decorator and then worked for the Harris Trust Co. in Chicago from 1962 until his retirement in 1974. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Minocqua.

Surviving besides his wife are a sister, Mrs. P.J. Seliskar, Greenwood, and a brother, Ethan, Woodland. Calif.
