Two students Visit UW Pharmacy (Havlicek/Vornholt - 1977)
Two Neillsville students were among 148 students from 75 communities who
recently attended the UW-Madison pharmacy school’s counseling program to learn
more about the pharmacy profession. They included Diane Havlicek, Rt. 2 and
Marie Vornholt, 117 Hewett.
High school juniors and seniors, college students and others interested in the
field were sponsored by local pharmacies to attend the two-day session.
A tour of the UW-Madison campus and the school of pharmacy’s undergraduate and
research facilities were included on the program along with counseling by staff
members and students. There was also a general information session on career
opportunities in pharmacy, educational requirements and financial aid for
students.
Havlicek was sponsored by Dennis Koula and Vornholt by Robert Rennock, both
Neillsville based registered pharmacists and graduates of UW-Madison.
