Zasoba, Peter (1 May 1897 – 3 Apr 1976)
At 1:30 this afternoon, Wednesday, April 7, 1976, funeral services for Peter
Zasoba, 77, will be held at the Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee. The parish
pastor, Rev. Lloyd Yaggie, will officiate, with burial in the parish Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Carl Vater, Edgar Albert, Bert Eberts, Gen
Mertens, John Potocnik and Harry Bruckschlager.
Mr. Zasoba passed away at 11:30 Saturday night, April 3, 1976 at the Clark
County Health Care Center, Owen. Friends may call at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral
Home until noon today, where he is lying in state.
Mr. Zasoba was born May 1, 1897 in Russia. He married the former Dorothy Nielsen
on July 20, 1957. He received his education in the Curtis and Abbotsford area
schools.
He moved to Curtiss at the age of 5 with his parents, and in 1917, he moved to
Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he worked for the Chattanooga gas Company. He
later moved to Withee in 1957.
He was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; a sister, Mrs. Alice Blodgett, Topeka, Kansas, and a
brother, Casper, Paola, Kansas.
Preceding him in death were three brothers.
The family suggests that memorial be made to the Salvation Army or the Heart
Fund.
