Schilling, Ezra (30 November 1907 – 18 February 1977)

A retired area farmer, Ezra W. Schilling of Chili, died Friday evening, February 18, ibn Neillsville at the age of 69. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from Immanuel United Methodist Church in Chili with the Rev. Henry Bahrenburg, Jr., officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Hanson Funeral Home, Marshfield, was in charge of arrangements.

Born November 30, 1907, in the Town of Fremont, Mr. Schilling was marred to the former Edith Moss on June 4, 1931, at Immanuel parsonage in Chili. He farmed in the Chili area until retiring four years ago and moving to the village of Chili. Mr. Schilling had also worked part time at the United Building Centers in Chili and Marshfield. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Mrs. Leland (Betty) Bartsch of Plover and Mrs. Richard (Bernice) Zakrzewski of Stevens Point; two sons, Lewis and Gene, both of Chicago, Il., three sisters, Mrs. August (Louise) Foemmel and Mrs. Ruth Bandt, both of Chili, and Mrs. Walter (Martha) King of Coloma; and one brother, Ferdinand Schilling of Chili.
