Montgomery, Joseph (7 January 1903 – 6 December 1976)

Funeral services were held Friday from the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, for Joseph Montgomery, 73, of Rt. 1 Granton, who died Monday evening, December 6, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Montgomery, where he lived. The William Noble of the United Methodist Church officiated, and burial followed in the Windfall Cemetery.

Mr. Montgomery was born January 7, 1903, at Velva, S.D. He worked on farms at Harvard, Il., until coming to Granton in 1971.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mike Matzke of Troy, Mt.; and three brothers, Frank of Libby, Mt., Tom of Harvard, Il., and Carl of Granton.

Pallbearers were Marvin Jahr, Wayne Jahr, Otto Sternitzky, Harold Searls, Randy Cantrell and Charles Seefeldt.
