Bessie, Emma (10 Apr 1889 – 12 Feb 1976)

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, for Mrs. Emma Bessie, 84, Route 1, Owen, who died Thursday at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.

The Rev. Lester Kringle of Owen Missionary Alliance Church officiated, and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Mrs. Bessie was born April 10, 1889 in Juneau County, Wisconsin. She lived in the Town of Warren since 1951.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Thora Celley of Owen, and a nephew, Clarence Hegstead, Route 1, Owen.

She was married to Ernest Bessie, who died in 1951.
