Lichte, LaVern (23 October 1976)

A home on Hewett St. in Neillsville, awaits Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Sternitzky upon their return from a wedding trip through Northern Wisconsin. The Sternitsky’s were married October 23, in a 7 p.m. candlelight ceremony performed at Calvary Lutheran Church by the Rev. Ronald Nordin. A reception was held afterward in the church fellowship hall.

The bride, the former LaVern Lichte of Neillsville, is the daughter of William Grussing of Cradom, Ar., and the late Mrs. Grussing. She was presented in marriage by her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don J. Grussing. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sternitzky of Rt. 1 Granton. He is employed as a Grade A bulk truck driver for a dairy firm at Lynn.

A bouquet of fall-colored mums with white roses and baby’s breath brightened the bride’s chapel length gown of ivory satin trimmed with Chantilly lace. Her Camelot headpiece held a chapel length veil of sheer illusion.

Attending the couple were Mary Ann Sternitzky, daughter of the groom, and Randy Kaddatz of Wisconsin Rapids, nephew of the groom. Miss Sternitzky’s floor length gown of romance blue featured a matching cape with a marabou-trimmed hood. She caried fall-hued mums with blue baby’s breath and long blue ribbons.

Dean Hoesly and Tom Marty served as ushers, and Danny Woellner and David Smetak, as candle lighters.

“The Lord’s Prayer” and “Wedding Prayer” were sung by Mary Ann Sternitzky. Mrs. Mary Heineck was the organist.

Dawn Wesenberg was in charge of the guest book.

The wedding cake was baked and decorated by Mrs. Frieda Rollins. It was cut and served by Mrs. Joanne Wesenberg.
