Marriage vows were exchanged Saturday, October 30, at the Neillsville Methodist Church by Patricia R. Hemp and Bradley W. Opelt. The Rev. William Noble officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hemp of Neillsville and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Opelt of Granton.

For her wedding day, the bride chose a traditional white gown of silk organza styled with a Victorian neckline, empire waistline and chapel train trimmed with pearls, Chantilly lace and Venise daisy lace. Her fingertip veil was trimmed with matching Venise lace. She carried a bouquet of white miniature carnations, peach roses, sprigs of blue dried flowers and ivy as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Mis Linda Michalak was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. David Olson, Merrillan, and Mrs. David Boyer. Their A-line gowns of apricot satin highlighted with blue flowers featured V-neckline and empire waistline styling. They held white wicker baskets filled with miniature white carnations, gold starburst flowers and sprigs of dried blue flowers.

Serving as bestman was Dean Opelt, Granton. Roger Opelt, Spencer, and Larry Hediger acted as groomsmen. Guests were seated by Melvin Hemp and Jeff Hemp, both of Windsor.

Stella Scheel, Franklin, was the flower girl. Miss Kerry Maslowski was the soloist and Mrs. Iris Musil, the organist.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds were honored at a reception at the American Legion Hall and a dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom music by Tiny Dux.

The bride is a 1974 graduate of Neillsville High School and a 1975 graduate of District One Technical Institute, Eau Claire. Her husband graduated from Granton High School in 1974 and from Indianhead Technical Institute, New Richmond, in 1976. He is employed as a welder by a Neillsville manufacturing firm. They are living in Neillsville.
