Carl, Connie Jean (30 October 1976)

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church was the setting for the wedding of Connie Jean Carl, daugher of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Hagen of Rt. 3 Neillsville, and Wade Charles Urban son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Robert Urban of Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff officiated at the 4:30 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Wildcat Inn.

The bride’s ivory A-line, empire-waist gown featured pearl trim, chiffon sleeves, a mandarin neckline with schiffli embroidery, a chapel train and hemline ruffling. Her picture hat was covered in chiffon. An arrangement of fall-hued pompon mums, yellow tea roses and baby’s breath formed her bouquet.

Diane Del Fatti was the matron of honor and Dawn Urban, Eau Claire, the bridesmaid. Their A-line, empire-waisted gowns in shades of coral and green polyester, respectively, were fashioned with V-neckline styling and three-tiered cape sleeves. They wore floral headpieces and carried baskets of fall-toned mums, tiny yellow strawflowers and baby’s breath.

The groom was attended by Roger Rizner, Chippewa Falls, as bestman and by Tyler Urban as groomsman. Serving as ushers were John Walk and John Hagen.

Lenny Urban was the ringbearer and Julie Hagen, the flower girl. Her ruffle-hemmed gown of ivory sheer over taffeta was trimmed with matching lace.

The new Mrs. Urban is employed at an area supper club, and her husband is employed by the Clark County traffic department. They are making their home at 120 East Sixth St. in Neillsville.
