Degenhardt, Theresa Ann (Marriage – 2 October 1976)

Theresa Ann Degenhardt of Rt. 1 Loyal, and George Carl Soltow of Rt. 2 Colby, exchanged marriage vows Saturday, October 2, in a civil ceremony performed at the courthouse in Neillsville by County Judge Michael Brennan.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mathias F. Wolf of Chili. The groom is the son of Mrs. Martha Soltow and the late Carl F. Soltow.

For the ceremony, the bride chose a floor length Nile green gown fashioned with long lace sleeves, a V-neckline and a belted waistline. Complimenting the gown was a headpiece of pearls and small white flowers. Her flowers were red roses, lilies of the valley and ivy.

Attending the couple were Elnora Schultz and Herman Schultz of Marshfield. Her peach floor length, floral print gown was accented by yellow roses and daisies with ferns.

The newlyweds will be honored at a dance at K-Corners on October 9.

Donna Rosier was hostess for a prenuptial party September 23.

The new Mrs. Soltow received her education at Sacred heart in Marshfield and at the Mayflower School and Granton High School. Her husband attended school in Minnesota and the Maple Center School in the Town of Beaver. He is engaged in farming.

Following their return from a wedding trip down south, they will live on Rt. 1 Loyal.
