Karl, Rufus, Richard (26 February 1919 – 30 July 1998)

Rufus Richard Karl, 80, Neillsville, died July 30, 1998, at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Pine Valley Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Gesche Funeral Home, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Mr. Karl was born on Feb. 26, 1918 to Joseph and Agnes Block Karl in Chelsea, Wis. He farmed in the Town of Weston.

He is survived by his wife, Clara (Zank) Karl; two sons, Ivan (Julie) Karl of Neillsville and Milan “Mike” (Mary) Karl of Chili; five grandchildren; three brothers, Brookes Karl, Arnold (Gladys) Karl and Clifford (Amber) Karl, all of Neillsville; and one sister, Beverly Drescher of Neillsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Richard.
