--------- Robertson, Verona M. (Marriage - 16 JUN 1925)

A pretty June wedding was consummated at the Holy Rosary Church, at Tuesday morning at eight o'clock when Miss Verona M. Robertson was united to Aloysius Veit.

The church was tastily decorated for the occasion with ferns, lilies of the valley and snap dragons, and amid the strains of Lohengrin Wedding March played by Mrs. V. D. Merriman, the procession marched to the altar, where the Rev. Fr. Eiselmann sang mass and joined the couple in the holy bonds of wedlock. The bridesmaid was Celia Veit of Marshfield, sister to the groom, and the maid of honor was Miss Norma Schaar of Owen, The best men were Wm. Yunich of Dorchester and Edward Robertson of Owen, Clark County, Wis., brother of the bride. Little Dolores Robertson very fittingly carried the flowers. After the ceremony a wedding feast was served at St. Katherine's Community dining hall to the relatives and immediate friends. The newlyweds left on evening train for a honeymoon to Chicago and West Point, Iowa, visiting on their return at Green Bay and Milwaukee before going to Ironwood, Mich., where they will reside.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Robertson of this city, a graduate of the '21 class of the Owen High School, and for the past year and a half was a faithful telephone operator at the local exchange. The groom is a young man from Marshfield and is employed as telegraph operator on the Soo Railroad. It was while working in that capacity here that he made the friendship which later culminated in the marriage.

The happy couple will be at home to their many friends at Ironwood, Mich.
