--------- Nichols, Ethel (Marriage - 25 JUN 1924)

A pretty church wedding was solemnized yesterday morning at the First Congregational Church by the Rev. W. H. Sargent, when Miss Ethel Nichols, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Nichols of Owen, Clark County, Wis., was united in marriage with Mr. Harry Bender of Colby, Wis., son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bender of Evansville, Wis.

The bride was attended by Miss Mildred Munson of Duluth, Minn., as bridesmaid, and Mrs. B. F. Dougherty of Weyauwega, as matron of honor. They wore yellow and blue respectively, and carried bouquets of daisies and sweet peas. The groom was attended by Mr. Irving Nichols, brother of the bride, as usher, and Mr. B. F. Dougherty, a former schoolmate, as best man.

The bride, accompanied by her father, was attired in white, hand-embroidered ribbon-trimmed georgette crepe with a veil, and carried an arm bouquet of pink roses.

The bridal procession approached the altar to the strains of Mendelsohn's wedding march, Mrs. Lawrence Munson at the organ.

A three course wedding breakfast was served at the bride's home to the bridal party and immediate family, after which the couple left on a trip through Minnesota, Iowa and the Ozark mountains. They expect to be at home to friends after Sept. 1st, at Colby, Wis.

The out of town guests were Miss Mildred Munson of Duluth, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Dougherty of Weyauwega; Mr. and Mrs. George Bender of Colby; Mr. Harold Nichols; Mr. Ray Sayer, Miss Ruth Blecha and Miss Paula Reder of Wausau, and Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Heintz of Colby.
