Novak, Frank (26 January 1896 - 13 march 1983)

NEILLSVILLE -- Services for Frank Novak, 87, of 705 Court St. Neillsville, will be Wednesday at the Gesche Funeral Home. He died Sunday at Memorial Hospital.

The Rev. Joseph N. Henseler of St. Mary's Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be Thursday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, St. Paul, Minnesota.

He was born January 26, 1896 in Yugoslavia. He came to the United States in 1913, settling in Sheboygan. He entered the U.S. Army June 22, 1916 and served in Europe receiving many decorations. He attained the rank of private first class. He was discharged March 28, 1919 and returned to Sheboygan, where he worked until 1927. He then moved to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, where he was employed in various factories until he retired in 1962. Since then he lived in Neillsville.

Surviving are three daughters, Joan Kennedy Daddio of Neillsville and St. Paul, Mrs. Charles (Frances) Maklmann of Minneapolis and Marie Holland of St. Paul; one sister, Frances Novak of Yugoslavia; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Edward, and several brothers and sisters.
