Tomczyk (25 January 1908 - 10 March 1983)

MEDFORD -- Services will be Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church for Vincent P. Tomcczyk, 75, of 621 Maple St. who died Thursday at Memorial Hospital of Taylor County Inc. He was taken there shortly before his death after suffering and apparent heart attack at his home.

The Rev. Brendan J. Kunda will officiate and burial will be in Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Visitation will be at the Hemer Funeral Home.

Mr. Tomczyk was born January 25, 1908 in Neillsville and attended Colby area schools.

He and Frieda Zimmermann were married July 19, 1934 in Waukegan, Illinois. She died January 10, 1975.

Mr. Tomczyk farmed in the Town of Medford until 1947, when he moved to the city of Medford. In 1955 he began employment with Hurd Millwork for which he worked until his retirement.

Surviving are two brothers, Joseph of Medford and Victor of Clinton, and two sisters, Mrs. Francelia Kuchinski, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Leonard (Elizabeth) Lowery, Tacoma, Washington.

Besides his wife, he was predeceased by a brother and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Mary Morzinski) Tomczyk.
