Kumbier, Mildred (29 Marsh 1901 - 23 February 1983)

Mrs. Erwin (Mildred) Kumbier, 73, of Stevens Point, died Wednesday night at St. Joseph's Convent, Stevens Point, where she had resided for one year.

She was born March 29, 1901, in Chili. the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Hopp. She attended schools in Clark County. She moved to Milwaukee and was married to Erwin Kumbier July 30, 1930. She worked at Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee. In 1974 she moved to Stevens Point. Her husband died July 11, 1963.

Surviving are three brothers, Rodney Hopp of Stevens Point, Marvin Hopp Sr., of St. Germain and Oscar Hopp of Bancroft; three sisters, Mrs. Warren (Bernice) Reetz of Wausau, Mrs. Ernest (Marion) Hartley of Beloit and Mrs. Harold (Ilene) Flugar of Wisconsin Rapids. She was predeceased by a brother and sister.

Services will be Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Stevens Point. The Rev. Melvin Dake will officiate. Burial will be on Monday in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Milwaukee. Visittion will be at Shuda Funeral Chapel, Stevens Point.
