Lehnen, Barbara K. (5 March 1890 - 4 February 1983)

OWEN -- Barbara K Lehnen, 92 of Owen died Friday at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley.

Services will be Monday Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, with the Rev. Richard Fliss officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Visitation will be at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen.

The former Barbara Kestler was born Marsh 5, 1890 at Whittlesey. She and Nicholas Lehnen were married June 19, 1916 at Glidden.

They resided in Glidden until 1927, later moving to Medford where they operated a restaurant until 1938. They lived in Stanley a short time, moving to Owen in 1938 where they operated the Woodland Hotel until 1955, when their son took over the business.

They resided in Owen until 1965 when they moved to Milwaukee. She lived there until 1979, when she moved back to Owen.

She had been a resident of the Clark County Health Care Center.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its Altar Society, and the Catholic Order of Foresters auxiliary.

Surviving re two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Lillian) Platta of Milwaukee and Miss Agnes Lehnen of Milwaukee; two sons, Edward of Owen and Herbert of North St. Paul, Minnesota; one brother, Frank Kestler of Chelsea; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband who died in October 1972; one son, Andrew; five sisters and one brother.
