Timerson, Archie J. (19 October 1906 – 20 October 1976)

Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from St. John’s Lutheran Church, Christie, for a retired longtime Town of Weston farmer, Archie J. Timerson, 70, of Rt. 3 Neillsville, who died in Neillsville October 20. The Rev. Ralph Stuebs officiated, and burial followed in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Weston. Arrangements were made by the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home.

Archie Timerson, son of J. Daniel and Anna S. Alton Timerson, was born October 19, 1906, in the Town of York and received his early education in local schools. He also attended vocational school in Milwaukee and worked in that city for a time.

His marriage to the former Olga Kindt took place October 26, 1927, at Globe. After returning to Clark County, Mr. Timerson farmed in the Town of Weston for 35 years. The couple then moved to Illinois where he worked until his retirement in 1972, when they returned to Clark County to live on Rt. 3. Mr. Timerson was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Christie.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Duane Timerson of Minneapolis; one sister, Mrs. Edith Duda of Neillsville; and by three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Alfred Boon, Clarence Ratsch, Bertie Schultz, Wilmer Lueck, Arnold Buchholz and Henry Seebandt.

The congregation sand “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” and “Abide With Me”. Mrs. Karen Hoppa was the organist.

Among those attending the services were the following from out-of-town: Arnold Timerson, Spokane, Wa., Bernice Timerson Carlson, Washington; Mrs. Wanda Von Haden, Tomah; Eldred Von Haden and Theodore Hubert, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Kindt, Menomonee Falls; Donald Duda, Shawano; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Allorie, Merrill; Mrs. Zola Lynch, Kimberly; Shirley Kostick, Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Josse, Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oborney, Grayslake, Il.; Dr. and Mrs. Forest Glick, Mankato, Mn.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jacob, Port Edwards.
